Bethany Helliwell-Smith is an experienced coach, facilitator, and accredited C-Me Colour Profiling Practitioner with over 15 years of experience in the charity sector. She began her career in fundraising, securing significant income for organisations such as the British Red Cross, Wales Millennium Centre, and Frank Water.
In 2020, Bethany founded Awen Coaching to help individuals and organisations in the charity sector prevent and overcome burnout. She now supports fundraisers, leaders, and freelancers in building healthier working lives and creating sustainable impact.
As Mum to two young children, Bethany understands the juggle and emotional load many professionals carry. She brings empathy, real-world insight, and a calm, client-led approach to her coaching, helping people clarify their priorities, set strong boundaries, and take purposeful action without burning out.

Katharine Tinker-Switzer
Katharine Tinker-Switzer is a Senior Recruitment Consultant at Bamboo Fundraising Recruitment, which specialises in connecting passionate fundraisers with organisations that make a real difference. In 2022, Katharine made the leap from fundraising to fundraising recruitment.
With over 14 years of experience across health, international, and education charities, Katharine has delivered results across a range of income streams, including events, community, and corporate partnerships. This hands-on experience gives her a unique understanding of what makes fundraising teams thrive.
Driven by a deep passion for the sector, she focuses on building strong, authentic relationships and finding the perfect match between talented fundraisers and mission-driven organisations.
