How to build healthy boundaries, trust and collaboration so support feels steady rather than disruptive.
Ways to protect people’s energy and well-being while strengthening fundraising and leadership capacity.
Why join us?
Charity leaders and fundraisers are under increasing pressure to deliver more with limited time, capacity and headspace. Often, the issue isn’t commitment or competence, it’s that the work has outgrown the systems and support around it.
In this candid, practical session, Bethany Helliwell-Smith, founder of Awen Coaching, and Analiese Doctrove, draw on their experience working inside charities and alongside them as external consultants to explore how support can be used thoughtfully and effectively.
This session isn’t about outsourcing everything or fixing charities overnight. It’s about making intentional choices, so external support brings clarity, steadiness and confidence, rather than becoming another source of pressure.
You’ll leave with clearer thinking, practical reflections you can apply straight away, and reassurance that it is possible to grow without the grind.

This webinar is for you if…
You feel the pressure to do more with less, and sense that something needs to change — but you’re not sure what support would actually help.
You’re carrying a lot of responsibility for income, direction or delivery, often with limited space to step back and think.
You’re curious about external support but worry it might add complexity, cost or scrutiny rather than relief.
You work in-house or freelance and want healthier ways of collaborating that respect boundaries and people.
You care deeply about your work and want growth that doesn’t rely on burnout, over-responsibility or constant urgency.
If any of this sounds familiar, this session will help you pause, reflect, and think more clearly about when external support helps, and how to use it well.
Why now?
Charity leaders and fundraisers are under increasing pressure. Expectations continue to rise, while time, headspace and capacity remain tight.
Often, external support is framed as a last resort — something to turn to only when things feel unmanageable. But in reality, the most effective support is usually brought in before people reach that point.
External support is already part of how charities operate. The real question is not whether to use it, but how to use it in ways that build clarity, trust and resilience rather than adding strain.
This is a chance to step back and think differently — choosing support that helps charities grow without grinding people down.

"I wanted you to know that earlier today we had the first business planning meeting following receipt of your report. Everyone agreed that you had made sense of so much of the stuff that has been floating around our heads. Following today, we have a clear action plan to implement, and we are all feeling positive about what we need to do. Thank you!"
